Spam Fried Rice Recipe On The Blackstone Griddle is an amazing twist on Habihi fried rice! Now fried rice gets made often outside so whipping up a version of Hawaiian fried rice had to happen eventually. I didn’t think the kids would like it but they ended up devouring it!

If you aren’t familiar with Blackstone Griddles, now is the time to consider one! My obsession started with the 17 inches version, but now I have the Blackstone 36-inch griddle that has taken up permanent residence on my back porch. We take the 17-inch camping, and I take it out on job sites to make lunches for the crew.
I personally have a 17-inch Blackstone for camping and on the job site, and then at home have a 36-inch one for cooking for the family! If you are new to Blackstone or outdoor griddles, check out my post -> here for my Guide to Griddles!
You can purchase Griddles at these sites too!
Now, if you are a Blackstone owner or new to Blackstone, there are several accessory options!! The bigger spatulas are very helpful for making Spam Fried rice, and the scraper is for this. I use my squeeze bottles to keep extra water and oil accessible on the griddle.
Spam Fried Rice Ingredients:
- Spam-This is what serves as the protein in this fried rice.
- Pineapple Rings– You can use fresh or canned pineapple. Pineapple chunks will work as well as rings.
- White Rice– This will need to be cooked and cooled off. Leftover/day-old rice works best for this rice.
- Peas and Carrots- I used a frozen pea and carrot combination to make this dish.
- Salt and Black Pepper
- Soy Sauce
- Sesame Oil
- Minced Garlic

How To Make Spam Fried Rice On Blackstone
A couple of hours before you are ready to make your fried rice or the night before, cook up your white rice. I make my white rice in a rice cooker, like these -> here on Amazon.
Spread out your rice on a cookie sheet to allow it to dry out some after it is done cooking. I let mine dry out for about an hour or two, depending on what’s going on before dinner time.
Cut up your spam and pineapple rings into chunks, and cut any veggies you want into the fried rice.
Whisk your eggs in a bowl and add just a splash of water. The water helps them to be a bit fluffier. Salt and pepper to the egg mixture.

Fire up your Blackstone griddle and re-oil it if needed. I always keep mine ready to go, so all I have to do is turn it on and re-oil it. (Check out my tips for Caring For Your Blackstone -> here)
Spread out your spam and pineapple on one side of the griddle, and then spread out the rice on the other side of the griddle.
Allow both to cook on the griddle while stirring/moving around occasionally.
Next, I add my vegetables to the meat and allow them to cook with the meat.

Add in next your minced garlic into your meat mixture or your rice.
Then mix everything with the rice, meat, and veggies onto one side of the griddle.

Pour your eggs onto the other side of the griddle and allow to cook. If your griddle looks dry, squirt on a bit more vegetable oil. These will get chopped up kinda like scrambled eggs in your rice.
Once your eggs are cooked, mix the eggs into everything on the griddle.

Drizzle with soy sauce and allow to cook a couple more minutes on the griddle.
Serve and enjoy!!
How To Store Leftover Blackstone Fried Rice
Store in an air-tight container or Ziploc bag in the fridge. Eat within three days of being cooked. Fried rice will not freeze very well.
How To Reheat Blackstone Fried Rice
You can reheat leftover Blackstone fried rice in a skillet on the stove or back on the Blackstone griddle itself. This also reheats well in the microwave; I put a wet paper towel over the bowl of fried rice when I go this route.
