Blackstone Sausage Fried Rice is my newest twist on fried rice! Hibachi Fried Rice cooked on the Blackstone is one of my family’s go-to weeknight dinners! Fried Rice on my Blackstone happens at least once a month now, sometimes once a week, because it is so easy!

I love cooking anything and everything on my Blackstone; my favorite is almost always going to be fried rice on the Blackstone! Finding new meat or proteins to put in the fried rice has become fun. I wasn’t 100% sure how it would turn out. However, it was a crowd-pleaser. We barely had any leftovers because everyone went back for seconds.
I love the Southside Market; I shared about their sausage slammers (see them -> here). After that, I had their beef sausage and garlic sausage and love them both! With crazy work hours, I love that it comes frozen, and I just pull it out the night before our dinner or breakfast to cook with. Blackstone Sausage Fried Rice Ingredients:
- Southside sliced Beef Sausage– Any type of rope sausage will work for this recipe, and I loved the flavor of the beef in this.
- Eggs- I used large eggs when I made this; if using medium eggs, you may want to use a couple more.
- White Rice- This will need to be cooked and cooled off. Leftover/day-old rice works best for this rice.
- Frozen Peas and carrots- You can use fresh if you want; I used a heated bag in the microwave to save time while preparing the meal.
- Salt
- Pepper
- Soy Sauce
- Minced Garlic
How To Make Sausage Fried Rice:
Start by making your white rice. I make my white rice in a rice cooker, like these -> here on Amazon. Using a rice cooker makes it much easier to make large amounts of rice at once.
Spread your rice on a cookie sheet; I line mine with tin foil to allow the rice to dry out after it is done cooking. Allow the rice to dry for about an hour or two, or throw it in the fridge to speed up the process.
When you are ready to start cooking, slice your Beef Sausage; I sliced mine in half lengthwise and then diced it from there.
Whisk your eggs in a bowl and add just a splash of water; the water helps them to be a bit fluffier. Add a bit of salt and pepper to your egg mixture.

If using steamed fresh peas and carrots, cook them; this makes it so easy by the way, get those ready and in a bowl. Or if not using steam fresh, prepare your veggies so they are ready to be thrown on the Blackstone. The veggies will dry out while they saute on the Blackstone.
Fire up your Blackstone griddle and re-oil it down. I always keep mine ready to go, so all I have to do is turn it on and re-oil it. (Check out my tips for Caring For Your Blackstone -> here)

One on the side of your griddle, spread out the sausage and some minced garlic. Allow these to saute a bit; this will warm up and cook the sausage and allow the minced garlic to flavor everything.
Spread out the rice on the other side of the griddle. You can also add peas and carrots to the rice as well.
Use your long spatula to stir the rice and the meat on the griddle.
Pour the soy sauce into the rice, combine the meat with the rice mixture, and often stir with your log spatulas.

Reoil the part of your grill you will put your eggs on. The eggs will stick the most, so fresh oil will help with this.
Pour your eggs onto the griddle and allow them to start to cook; using two long spatulas at this time will help control. You can use the spatulas to chop the eggs into scrambled eggs and move them around.

Mix your eggs into the rice mixture and allow to keep cooking on the griddle until the eggs are fully cooked.
Drizzle with more soy sauce while the fried rice cooks on the griddle.
Use your spatulas to keep mixing the fried rice and allow the fried rice to cook for a couple more minutes.
Serve and enjoy!!

Store in an air-tight container or Ziploc bag in the fridge. Eat within three days.
How To Reheat Blackstone Fried Rice
You can reheat leftover Blackstone fried rice in a skillet on the stove or back on the Blackstone griddle itself. This also reheats well in the microwave; I put a wet paper towel over the bowl of fried rice when I go this route.
