I left these to sit while I went outside and got my Pit Boss Pellet Grill Smoking. Now I personally use the Pit Boss Pro 1100 from Lowes, if you don’t have Lowes Walmart and Amazon carry other Pit Boss options or Pit Boss website themselves. This will also work in any electric or pellet smoker as well.
I used Pit Boss Grills Mesquite pellets but you can use any flavor of pellets to smoke your baked potatoes.
Money and time-saving tips from the old lady. If you order pellets online from Walmart and spend $35, they will drop them off at your door for free!! Their everyday price on pit boss pellets is amazing, plus the expert grill brand has a great price. (see them ->here)
Once I had my Pellet Grill rolling smoke I set it at 225 degrees with the P Setting at P7.
Take a fork or a long kabob skewer and stab each potato over and over. This will allow the moisture to escape but also for the smoke to go into the potato as well. Same as the oven potatoes will explode without the holes in the potatoes.

Next, rub down your potatoes with olive and then grind salt over them. I used a Trader Joe’s Garlic Salt Grinder but any salt will work.
Set on your rack in your smoker and allow it to smoke for at least two hours. If you want you can rotate them but I prefer to set it and forget it.

Test your potato is done with a fork before removing it from the smoker.
Serve and enjoy!!
