Blackstone Philly Cheesesteak Grilled Cheese is similar to Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches. This recipe uses leftover Blackstone Philly Cheesesteak and is perfect for using up a small number of leftovers. It is very similar to actual Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches, but sometimes grilled cheese sandwiches hit differently.

Philly Cheesesteak Grilled Cheese Ingredients:
- Philly Cheesesteak– The cheesesteak filling can be made specifically for quesadillas or use leftovers. To make your Philly Cheesesteak faster, you can use frozen vegetables and store-bought shaved steak. See-> How To Make Philly Cheesesteak on Blackstone for detailed instructions and ingredients.
- Cheese– Most commonly, slices of Provolone cheese are used on Philly Cheesesteaks. However, since I was feeding teenagers, sliced American Cheese and cheese whiz was requested on theirs. Cheddar cheese will also work for this; the kind of cheese you use comes down to a personal choice. Mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese can also be used, but they weren’t our first choice.
- Frozen Texas Toast- Garlic Texas toast takes a lot of messy work out of grilled cheese; throw it on the griddle frozen, and it cooks amazingly. You can use thick white bread as well, it is your choice Texas Toast loaf bread is one of my favorites as well.
- Butter– If using frozen Texas toast, you don’t need to add butter to the bread.
How To Make Philly Cheesesteak:
I’ll summarize the basic steps to make Philly Cheesesteak on the Blackstone, but you can find in-depth directions on the post itself.
To make this faster, use frozen vegetables, and store-bought shaved steak meat. (My frozen vegetable blend had frozen yellow peppers, orange peppers, red bell peppers, and green bell peppers with white onion.
Oil your Blackstone if needed, or clean as well, and fire up your Blackstone grill to medium-high heat.

On one side of your grill, cook your frozen vegetables; on the other, cook your shaved steak meat. (I put Minced Garlic, Blackstone Cheese Steak Seasoning, Worchestire Sauce, Garlic Salt, and Pepper into my meat.)
Add more oil if needed and combine everything.
Once the meat and vegetables are fully cooked, remove and serve or store them for later.

While your griddle is heating up to medium heat, heat your leftover Philly Cheesesteak if it is not warm from coming off the griddle. Reheating in the microwave works well for this part. You can cover it with a warm paper towel to help keep and maintain the meat’s moisture. It also allows the microwave to heat the food more evenly than a dry paper towel. My old lady also says it helps not cause splatter in the microwave, so double win.
If using bread that needs to be buttered, butter the bread so it will crisp on the griddle. For each sandwich you make, lay down two pieces of bread, butter side down.
Once the griddle is ready to go, throw the sandwiches on.
Place some Philly Cheesesteak onto one slice of bread per sandwich. You can place the cheese on top of the Philly Cheesesteak or on the other piece of bread.

After I flipped mine, I covered it with my Jim Bim Melting Dome to allow the cheese to melt. (If you don’t have a melting dome Amazon has a great collection ->here, a Rectangle Dome Cover is a fast way to get a lot of sandwiches done fast. )
