Instructions

  • Place your ground beef into a bowl cold.
  • Rub your hands down with olive oil and mix in your seasoning until the beef is evenly season.  Now my go-to blend is some minced onions and some Johnny's Seasoning Salt.
  • Now if you struggle with hand-making patties you need to try a burger press out.
  • If you are hand-making your patties rub your hands down with olive oil and form your patties, even if you are using a press.  Also, be sure to rub down your press with oil as well it will prevent sticking, plus it makes clean up a breeze.
  • Use a piece of parchment paper on the bottom of the press so when the burger is flattened you can easily remove it from the press.  The paper makes flipping the patty onto the grill so much easier to do.
  • Now be sure that your grill rack is clean, or your stove.  Make sure that it is rubbed down with oil to prevent the burgers from sticking.
  • Now once your grill or pan is hot throw the burger is one!
  • My two best tips for making the perfect burgers is to first limit how many times you flip them and DON'T press down on the burgers.  You want the juices to stay in the burger.
  • Once your burgers are done allow them to rest.  I tend to turn off the grill and put the cheese on at this time.  It helps to seal in the juices and also allows the meat to rest.
  • Top with all the toppings and enjoy!!
