Smoke Baked Potatoes

Smoke Baked Potatoes are the perfect way to make a classic with a new twist! Throw them on the smoker and avoid heating up the house for a tasty side dish. Load them up for the perfect loaded baked potato!

Instructions

  • Wash and pat dry your potatoes, you will want to do this to make sure that you have removed all the dirt off of them.
  • Start your smoker rolling smoke, I used Mesquite pellets but you can use any flavor of pellets to smoke your baked potatoes.
  • Once I had my Pellet Grill rolling smoke I set it at 225 degrees with the P Setting at P7.
  • Take a fork or a long kabob skewer and stab each potato over and over. This will allow the moisture to escape but also for the smoke to go into the potato as well.
  • Next rub down your potatoes with olive and then grind salt over them. 
  • Set on your rack in your smoker and allow to smoke for at least two hours.  If you want you can rotate them but I prefer to set it and forget it.
  • Test the your potato being done with a fork before removing from the smoker.
  • Serve and enjoy!!
